Escape From Alcatraz 2015

Thank you for your interest in joining Team CHM’s 2015 Escape From Alcatraz Team. The 2015 Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon will be the 35th year for this Iconic race. efa-boat-outside The race will be held on Sunday June 7, 2015 in the area in and around San Francisco Bay. Escape From Alcatraz is a modified International Distance Triathlon consisting of a 1.5-mile swim (2.4km), an 18-mile bike ride (29km), followed by an 8-mile run (13km), and is particularly famous for the rough and difficult swim leg, which begins when athletes leap into the water from a ferry boat just off the shore of Alcatraz, and then swim through strong currents and 55 degree water in order to reach the beach 1.5 miles in the distance.  Click Here to read Frequently Asked Questions about the race.

 

Team CHM members competing in the Escape From Alcatraz 2015 will be required to raise a minimum of $1500 in fundraising for the Choroideremia Research Foundation.

 

All Team CHM athletes will receive:

– guaranteed entry into the 2015 Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon (the registration fee is covered by Team CHM)

– a personalized fundraising webpage

– a Team CHM triathlon suit for use in training and on Race Day

– a Team CHM performance athletic t-shirt for use during training

– other Team CHM items
